"William W. Parmenter was born in Poundstock parish, Cornwall, England June 28, 1804 [gravestone is correct with 22 June]. His early years were spent upon his father's farm by the seaside. Being of a delicate constitution and, according to his parent's judgement, not strong enough to endure the tolls of country life, he was apprenticed to a tailor. After learning his trade and spending a year or more in London, as was the custom in those days, "to finish", he opened a small store at Bummerleys, with tailor shop overhead. In due course of time he married and the young couple spent a busy, happy life till in 1831 they determined to brave the dangers of the deep and seek their fortune in the new world. They settled in the new town of Honesdale, PA. There were eight children born to the marriage between 1830 and 1852. In 1854 they moved to a farm near Mt Vernon, Ohio. About this time he and his brother Sampson changed their surname from Parminter to Parmenter. In 1875 William and his wife gave up farming and moved to Howard, Ohio. He was a very devout man and for many years was a lay evangelist. "

3.   Thomas CORNISH
Bap of Thomas Cornish 13 Mar 1808 at Morwenstow, Cornwall, son of Thomas & Grace (ref C OPC).

There are 3 named Thomas Cornish of a similar age, 2 in Morwenstow and 1 in Kilkhampton. There is an appropriate early burial for the Kilkhampton one so it seems that of the other two, Grace's son with William Ham married both Prudence James and Grace Lock and went to Canada, and the other married Harriett Bagelhole and stayed in Cornwall. This is my best guess.

Marriage 4 May 1829 at Morwenstow of Thomas Cornish to Harriet BAGLOW; both were otp of Morwenstow; witnesses William Proust, Daniel Baglow (ref C OPC). Bap of Harriot BAGGELHOLE on 22 Sep 1811 at Morwenstow, dau of Daniel & Johanna (ref C OPC). The name is confirmed in later births in the GRO Index as Harriett BAGELHOLE.
