4.		William Henry SMITH Birth reg of William Henry Smith Sep qtr 1842 at Bristol dist, Gloucestershire, mother's name James (ref GRO Index). There is a previous registration of a William Henry Smith in Jun qtr 1841, mother also James, but it is not known if this is just a common occurrence or whether there was a previous child of this name born to them. Birth certificate to be checked, possibly 14 Dec 1844 at Eugene Street, Bristol (ref Thomas Burton 2012). The middle name Jane does not appear in the records until 1891. No baptism found.
