CREW Baptism of Joseph Crew 2 Nov 1742 at Clutton, Somerset, son of John & Jane Crew (ref Ancestry Somerset CofE baptisms image). Marriage 20 Apr 1769 at High Littleton, Somerset of Joseph Crewe to Mary GOULD; the marriage was by Banns (one of the dates being 2 Apr 1769), both were resident at High Littleton, and the witnesses were Isaac Davis and John Cock (ref Ancestry & fmp Somerset Archives). The probable baptism for Mary Gould is on 1 Apr 1749 at Clutton, Somerset, daughter of John Gould & Betty (ref fmp Baps & Burials, Somerset Archives). This date matches quite closely (c1747) the Mary Crewe who was buried in 1817 at Timsbury. John & Betty Gould had several other children baptised at Clutton, including the following: James 14 Mar 1740/41, William 31 Jan 1743, Dorcas 25 Dec 1745. Burial of Mary Crewe 30 Dec 1817, age 70. Buried Timsbury, Somerset at the Anglican church of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Timsbury, Somersetshire (ref National Burial Index, Somerset & Dorset Family History Society in findmypast). Other family records are at Timsbury. The burial of Joseph Crew has not been found. The one previously listed here as 9 May 1817 was for his grandson, born 1816, on page 4.
