2.		Elizabeth HAKE Bap 8 Dec 1687 at Broad Clyst, Devon, England, Elizabeth Hake, dau of Ralph Hake (ref fmp Devon Baptism image, Parish record 0916761 and Parish record at DHC; FamilySearch has this indexed as dau of Robert, a misreading). Some records have incorrect date of 6th Dec.

1.		John HAKE Bap 17 Oct 1689 at Broad Clyst, Devon, England, John Hake, son of Richard Hake (ref fmp Devon Baptisms, FamilySearch C050001 and Parish record 0916761 and Parish record at DHC). Died 1707, bur 19 Jul 1707 at Broad Clyst, Devon (ref parish rec).
2.		Richard HAKE May not exist in this family, information unproved from an early source. Born 1692? That source supplied information that Richard married a Grace Trethewy. If this is close to the truth, then the following marriage might apply: Marriage 2 Jun 1715 at Plymstock, Devon of Richard Hake to Grace TRENWITH (ref Devon Marriages image & Boyd's Marriage Index on fmp). However, this is uncertain here, as there was a child born the year after at Plymstock, and it would be strange that the child below would be baptised before the marriage.

		Issue of Robert Hake and Sara Haiwood
1.		John HAKE (1) Bap of John Hake 5 Mar 1687/88 at Exeter St Edmund, Devon, son of Robert Hake (ref fmp Devon Baptisms image). Burial not found but presumed died before 1697. There is another John Hake, who has not been identified, baptised 13 May 1694 at Exeter St John, son of John, who may be the one who was buried 21 Feb 1694/95 at Exeter St John with no further information.
2.		Robert HAKE Bap of Robert Hake 28 Apr 1689 at Exeter, Devon (ref fmp England Births & Baptisms). Burial of Robin Hake 26 Feb 1692/93 at Exeter St Edmund, Devon (ref Devon Burials image). "Robin the son of Robin Hake was buried the 26 of February 1692".
3.		Elizabeth HAKE (1) Bap of Elizabeth Hacke [sic] 18 Oct 1691 at Exeter St Edmund, Devon, dau of Roberd [sic] (ref fmp Devon Baptisms image). Burial of Elizabeth Hacke 6 Mar 1691/92 at Exeter St Edmund, dau of Robert (ref fmp Devon Burials image).
4.		John HAKE (2) Bap of John Hake 11 Jan 1696/97 at Exeter St Edmund, Devon, son of Robin [stet] Hake (ref fmp Devon Baptisms image). It is assumed that the following marriage is the relevant one, but see also the note at the end. Marriage 19 Jun 1720 at Exeter St Lawrence of John Hake to Mary LIGHT (ref fmp England Marriages and FS). Possible baptisms are: Marey Light 19 Mar 1697/98 at Exeter All Hallows on the Walls, dau of Roggear Light (ref fmp) or Mary Light 29 Sep 1697 at Exeter, dau of George Light (ref fmp English Births & Baptisms). Burial of Mary Hake 29 Oct 1747 at Exeter St Edmund, Devon; "Mary wife of John Hake was buried" (ref fmp Devon Burials image). John's burial not found in Exeter. FROM WHOM ELIZABETH SHADE NEE GRIERSON IS DESCENDED. There is another marriage of an unknown John Hake on 27 Aug 1724 at Exeter St David to Sarah HEATH, with no further details given. Sarah, the wife of John Hake, was buried 4 Mar 1741 at Exeter St Olave (ref fmp Devon Burials). It is possible that children 5-7 baptised at St Olave may have been children of Sarah Heath and that unknown John Hake.
