Little ~ Marriage of Fanny Beatrice (Trixie) Little and Frederick Joseph Chapple

"AT HOME" FUNCTION BY TRIXIE LITTLE
25 Oct 1910

Last Tuesday afternoon Miss Trixie Little gave a most enjoyable "at home" to say "au revoir" to her most intimate friends. Miss Little (who was supported by Mrs W. C. Little) received her guests in a reception trained gown of golden brown Japanse silk, yoke cream lace, pretty finishing of chiffon and applique. Mrs W. C. Little wore a handsome gown of copper tints in shaded silk, black picture hat, long suede gloves; and Miss Carrie Crocker was in pale-blue lustre coat and skirt with rolled collar and cuffs of white satin; large hat in pale blue was a pretty finish. A capital programme was given, and it was thoroughly enjoyed. The hostess contributed six items. The guests who took part were Mrs T. Middleton (Miss C. Malyon), song, Miss Punshon, violin solos; Miss Nellie Dill, recitation, Miss Ruby Coutts, piano solo; and Miss Mabel Crump. Encores were numerous, and cheerfully responded to. The floral decorations were beautifully carried out. The entrance hall was the repository for huge bowls on stands of arum lilies, and in the drawing-room lilies of the valley, roses and mignonette. The dining room was simply a fairy bower of white blooms and white blossom. The effect was most artistic. Dainty afternoon tea was served in the dining-room.
