The Will of Wilmot Causey late of Marlpool Cottage in the County of the City of Exeter Widow deceased who died 19 September 1863 at Marlpool Cottage aforesaid was proved at Exeter by the oath of Thomas Reynolds Arscott of Marlpool Cottage aforesaid Esquire the Grandson the sole Executor." On 13 Mar 1865 Thomas Reynolds Arscott was tried for Manslaughter by the City of Exeter in the Guild Hall; he was found Not Guilty (ref Ancestry England & Wales Criminal Registers).

"Exmouth. Major F. S. Bridge, J.P., and Mrs. Bridge, of Cranford, Exmouth, celebrated their golden wedding on Monday, and were "At home" to many old friends. They were married at Holy Trinity Church, Exeter, on August 1st, 1865, the then rector (the Rev. H. Shield) and the rector of Zeal Monachorum (the Rev. E. Cooper) officiating. Major Bridge is the son of Dr. S. F. Bridge, of Old Court, Wellington, Somerset, and Mrs. Bridge was Miss Penelope Margaretta Causey Arscott, the only daughter of Mr. Robert Arscott, of Southernhay, Exeter."
