2.		Isaac POULAIN Born 16 Feb 1675 at Gourel, Seine-Maritime, France (ref PL). Bap 17 Feb 1675 at Luneray ER, Seine-Maritime, France (ref PL). Migrated from France to England. The Revocation of the Edict of Nantes was in 1685 so they probably migrated after that. From the Huguenot Library: "1695. Nov 14. Isaac Poulain, fils de defunt [deceased] Jaques Polain et d'Anne L'Archevesque, natif de la Paroisse de Gourel en Normandie, et Madelaine Suét, fille de defunt Isaac Suét et d'Anne de la Balle, native de Paroisse de Greaville en Normandie. Promesse. Marié le premier de Janvier 1695-6." Married 1 Jan 1695/96 at Walloon Church, Canterbury, Kent to Magdeline SUET. She was bap at Greuville, Seine-Maritime, France, daughter of Isaac Suet and Anne De La Balle (see above). Her name is spelt Madelaine and Magdeline in the children's baptisms. Isaac had died by 1718 at the marriage of son Isaac, but Magdeline appeared to be still alive.

Marr (2) 29 Nov 1696 at St Mary Northgate, Canterbury, Kent to Marie (Mary) CHAROSSIN (ref LDS member in IGI). She was dau of Isaac Charossin and Marie Hautebran (ref Ancestry Public Tree). "1696 Nov 5. Jaques Polain, veuf [widower], demeurant à Canterbery, et Marie Charossin, fille de Isaac Charossin et de Marie Hautebran, native de Fontenay en Poitou. Promesse." In 1697 he was listed as Godfather to Isaac Poulain, son of Isaac Poulain and Madelaine Suet, at the Walloon Church, Canterbury, England (ref Huguenot Quarto volumes).
