Married 9 Jun 1810 at Wyddial, Hertford to Ann BRAY (ref findmypast). It was possible to make the connection with the Hertfordshire family of Bray due to the 1891 census which Fanny Wingate nee Bray was staying with Edward Wood (husband of Sarah Susan Watson) and calling herself a cousin; this confirmed Percival Serle's comment that Mrs Watson was formerly a Miss Bray. Refer to the Bray Family Tree. Bap of Ann Bray 2 Sep 1792 at Layston, Hertford, dau of William Bray and Ann his wife (ref findmypast image).

Their first 5 children were registered in Dr Williams' Library Registry (Non-Conformist) on the same day, 6 Jan 1820 (ref Ancestry England & Wales Non-Conformist & Non-Parochial Registers). Sarah Susan was born on the 7 Oct 1822, and Ann was buried on the 24 Oct 1822, so it obviously related to the birth.

Burial of Ann Watson 24 Oct 1822 at St Giles church, Wyddial, Hertfordshire, age 30 (ref National Burial Index in findmypast).
