This confirms that it was correct to unite William (living in Leicestershire) with the rest of the family at Royston, Hertfordshire. William SAMPSON married Ann NEWHAM. The marriage was on 10 Feb 1757 at Royston, Hertfordshire; William was a Sojourner, and Ann was of the parish of Royston (ref fmp Hertfordshire marriages). Probable burial of William Sampson, occupation Hemp Dresser, on 30 Dec 1768 at Royston (ref fmp Hertfordshire burials). FROM WHOM LIBBY SHADE IS DESCENDED. Marriage 21 Jul 1771 at Royston of Mrs Ann Sampson, widow, to James BROWN, widower & Sojourner (ref fmp Hertfordshire marriages). The Banns were 23 Jun, 30 Jun, 7 July. No further information found.
