John was buried 1721/22 at Marystow: John Bickle was buried February the 14th Affitdavit made ye 16th Ejusdem [of the same kind] (ref original in fmp)

Marriage 4 Jul 1719 at Milton Abbot of Mary Bickle to William WILLIAMS (ref marriage register transcript in fmp).
 
4.   Thomas BICKLE
Bap 25 May 1690 at Marystow, Devon, Thomas, son of Robert & Mary Bickle (ref fmp, "March crossed out and May written above).

Marriage 1725 of Thomas Bickle to Elizabeth GARLAND in Devon (ref FamilySearch 004635119). The online transcription for Marystow, Devon is as follows: "1725. Thomas BICKLE & Elizabeth GARLAND were married by Banns ... [paper damaged, possibly June or July, no idea as to day.]" (ref fmp)

Thomas was churchwarden of Marystow from 1732 to 1735.

Elizabeth was buried 1684 at Milton Abbot: Elizabeth the daughter of John Bickle was buried the 22nd day of September Anno ut Supra [1684]. On the 28th day of the same month was an affidavit under the hands and seals of Agnes Ross and John Bickle which attested the legall interment of the said Elizabeth. 2.   Robert BICKLE
Bap 23 Nov 1685 at Marystow, Devon, Robert, son of John & Mary Bickle, parish of Milton Abbott (ref fmp).

Robert was nineteen when his father died and he succeeded to his lands at Ley (ref AJCT).

Marriage of Robert Bickle 23 Feb 1716/17 at Milton Abbot to Mary LAUNDER (ref fmp Devon Marriages image). Mary was a daughter of Peter & Elizabeth Launder of Uppaton, Milton Abbot and was bap 24 Feb 1679/80 at Marystow (ref AJCT).

Burial of Robert on 5 Mar 1723/24 at Milton Abbot: "Robin Bickell of Lay was buried the 5th of March" and "Mar 5 Robert Bickle" (different versions) (ref fmp).
Mary died 17 Sep 1747 (ref AJCT).

Bap 8 Jun 1687 at Marystow, Devon, Penelope, dau of John & Mary Bickle, parish of Milton Abbott (ref fmp).

Burial 1698 at Milton Abbot: Penelope the daughter of John Beckell was buried the 11th day of September (ref original in fmp).

4.   John BICKLE
Bap 5 Mar 1688/89 at Marystow, Devon, John, son of John & Mary Bickle, parish of Milton Abbott (ref fmp).

Married 15 Aug 1713 at Coryton, Devon to Joan HERNE (ref AJCT, not found in fmp).

John seems to have inherited lands at Ley; he was a blacksmith and signed Bickell (ref AJCT).
John Bickle was buried 9 Apr 1757 at Milton Abbot as "John Bickell of Lea" (ref original in fmp Devon Burials).

6.   Thomas BICKLE
Bap 16 Mar 1692/93 at Marystow, Devon, Thomas, son of John & Mary Bickle, parish of Milton Abbott (ref fmp).

Marriage 1727 at Milton Abbot of Thomas Bickel to Hannah EDGECOMB (ref Boyd's Marriage Index in fmp). The marriage was 27 Feb 1727[presumably /28] at Milton Abbot, Devon and the parties were named as Thomas Bickell and Hannah EDGCOMBE (ref fmp England Marriages). She was a dau of Gabriel & Hannah Edgcombe and was bap 9 Sep 1705 at Milton Abbot (ref AJCT and fmp Devon Baptisms).

Said to be of Ogbear, a hamlet at the intersection of Tavistock and Lamerton, where they leased a farm in about 1729 (ref AJCT).

1.   George BICKLE
Born 22 Jul 1715; bap 13 Aug 1715 at Marystow, Devon, George, son of George (junior) and Mary Bickle (ref fmp).
He served as churchwarden at Marystow in 1738-39.

Inherited Cholwill land from his uncle John Bickle in 1749.

Marr 9 Dec 1739 at Thrushelton: George Bickle & Margery HAM (both of Marystow) were married by Banns December 9th 1739 (ref original in fmp).

In 1759 he sold his lands at Chilwill to Arthur Tremayne and received a lease for his own life only.
From Marystow, Devon, parish register 1784: Margery Bickle was buried March 20th 1784 (ref original in findmypast).
From Marystow, Devon, parish register 1785: George Bickle was buried December 24th 1785 (ref original in findmypast).
On George's death the lease on Bickell's Cholwich fell in.

Marr 26 Jun 1742 at Marystow to Mary CAUNTER. John BICKLE [BICKELL] and Mary CAUNTER were married (by Banns) June 26th. 1742. (ref fmp).

Moved to Coryton in 1751. They were living at Thrushelton in 1758 and 1760.
There is a burial of a John Bickle 10 Jan 1785 at Thrushelton, described as a pauper (ref fmp Plymouth Burials image). There are many John Bickles.
AJCT gives a possible burial as 3 May 1774 at Milton Abbot, described as of Coryton.
