		Issue of Robert Bickle and Elizabeth
1.		Mary BICKLE Baptism not found. Marriage 12 May 1668 at Milton Abbot, Devon of Mary Bickell to John Webb (ref fmp Devon Marriages). Marriage 1668 at Milton Abbot, Devon of Mary Bickle to John WEB (ref fmp from Boyd's Marriage Index). Possible death of Mary in 1684/85 at Milton Abbot: Mary Webb was buried the 3rd day of January (ref fmp Devon Burials image).
2.		Robert BICKLE Born c1650, place not specified by AJCT. On 29 Oct 1663 his name was added to a lease on Dippertown, Marystow, and he went to live there and became ratepayer there. Married c1681 at Marystow (est date and place) to Mary, surname unknown. In 1687 he signed for his father's burial: Ref Burial Register 1687 of Milton Abbot: Anno Dom: 1687. Robert Bickle Yeoman was buried the 11th day of April Anno ut Supra [in the year as above]. On the 17th day of ye same month received an Affidt [affidavit] under the hands and seales of Robert Bickle and Mary Oliver which attested the legall intermnt of the said Robert (ref original in fmp) There are two possible burials at Marystow of a Mary Bickle, the other probably being Mary the wife of George on the previous generation. These are 1692/93: Mary Bickle was buryed the fifth day of February, and 1694/95: Mary Bickle was buryed the 9th day of January - small pox. In the period between Dec 1693 and March 1694, 20 people died of small pox in Marystow. (All ref fmp Devon Burial Registers image) There is a third possible burial for Mary on 15 Jan 1717/18 at Marystow: Mary Bickle was buried January ye 25th Affitdavit made the 20th ejusdem (ref fmp image). Burial 1730 at Marystow, Devon: Robert Bickle was buried ye 21st June 1730. 3.		Joseph BICKLE Bap of Joseph Bickle 26 Dec 1665 at Marystow, son of Robert & Elizabeth Bickle (ref fmp). He married 5 Feb 1689/90 Marystow to Ann or Agnes WOOLRIDGE of Stowford (source AJCT, not found in fmp). Joseph was buried 7 June 1690 at Milton Abbot, a blacksmith of Marystow according to the affidavit delivered on 9th June (ref original in fmp incorrectly indexed as 1689). Agnes Bickell was the third life on the lease on Old Hall in Dippertown which her brother in law Robert Bickle took out in 1702. She was of Marystow when she was buried 28 July 1729 at Milton Abbot as Anne Bickell: Anne Bickell widow of Marystow buried the 28 of July [1729] (ref original in fmp). 4.		Grace BICKLE Her baptism not found. Marriage 16 Dec 1679 at Milton Abbot, Devon of Grace Bickell to William EDGCOMBE (ref fmp Devon Marriages). Marriage of Grace Bickel to William Edgcomb at Milton Abbot, Devon in 1679 (ref Boyd's Marriage Index in fmp). William died in 1726 at Milton Abbot: William Edgcombe of Zucther [?] 5 July (ref fmp Devon Burials image). Grace died in 1730/31: Grace Edgcombe widow buried the 15th of March (ref fmp Devon Burials image). They left issue (ref AJCT). 5.		Elizabeth BICKLE Her baptism not found. Burial 1685 at Milton Abbot: Elizabeth the daughter of Robert Bickle was buried 30th of September 1685 (ref fmp Plymouth Deaths & Burials image). Also: Elizabeth Bickle spinster buried the 30th day of September Anno ut Supra [1685]. On the 4th of October next following received an affadavit under the hands and seals of Agnes Ross and Robert Bickle which attested the leagll interment of the said Elizabeth (ref fmp Plymouth Deaths & Burials image)
6.		Thomas BICKLE Born 12 Jul 1659 and bap 30 July 1659 (ref AJCT, not found in fmp). Marriage 15 Feb 1687/88 at Milton Abbot of Thomas Beckle to Johan RONDLE (ref fmp Plymouth Marriage Register image). Johan (Joan) was buried 10 April 1706 under the surname Beckell at Milton Abbot: Joan the wife of Thomas Beckell was buried the 10th day of April (ref fmp image). There is a possible burial of Thomas in 1736 at Milton Abbot: Thomas Bickel the 1 of April (ref fmp Devon Burials image). Curiously, there is another handwritten image with the date of the 3rd of April so it is not possible to say which is more accurate. 7.		John BICKLE Bap 26 Dec 1665 at Marystow (ref AJCT but no confirmation found; there is a record for the baptism of his brother Joseph on this day in the records so this may be in error). Later of Ley (ref AJCT). Married Mary, surname unknown. Burial of John in 1705 at Milton Abbot: John Beckell was buried the 5th day of June 1705 (ref fmp image). Burial of Mary in 1738 at Milton Abbot: Mary Bickel widow the 20 of May (ref fmp image). FROM WHOM FRED SHADE IS DESCENDED. 2.		John BICKLE Born c1683, no baptism found (ref AJCT). John inherited his father's lands at Cholwill. Marr 31 Oct 1711 at Marystow to Elizabeth BICKLE. John BICKELL [BICKLE] was marryed to Elizabeth BICKELL [BICKLE] the last day of October 1711 (ref fmp). She was bap 27 Aug 1682 at Marystow, Devon, dau of Robbert & Mary Bickle (ref fmp); they were of Dippertown, see generation 6 - she was John's cousin once removed. Elizabeth was bur 24 Nov 1716 at Marystow: Elizabeth Bickle was buried November ye 24th (ref fmp image). In 1739, there is the signature of 'John Bickel Church-Warden' on the Marystow parish register. John was buried 1749 at Marystow: John Bickle was Buried April 9th Affidavid made ye 15th (ref original in fmp). His lands at Cholwill passed to his nephew George. George was buried 1724 at Marystow: George Bickle was buried June ye 1st Affidavit made ye 7th (ref original in fmp). Mary paid rent in 1737. There are too many Mary Bickles to be sure when she died.
