Most likely baptism is of Joan GREGORY 27 May 1670 at Westmill, Hertfordshire, dau of Robert & Elizabeth (ref fmp). Joan was buried in 1704 with no children found. "Joan ye wife of John Bray of Therfield Carpenter was buried June 6th 1704 at Buckland" (ref fmp image). Marriage (2) (record not found) of John Bray to Mary, surname unknown. The marriage suggested by some people in Ashwell appears to belong to another John Bray / Mary couple who subsequently had several children in Ashwell. Burial of Mary Bray 22 Apr 1759 at Buckland. "Mary (wife of John) Bray". The mother Mary, the daughter Mary and the father John were all buried in 1759, the first two being consecutive entries in the register.
