Burman ~ Fourth Generation

    COMMENT ON SHAKESPEARE CONNECTION
This is the generation of the same age as William Shakespeare.
William was baptised 1564 at Holy Trinity, Stratford On Avon.
He most likely attended the King's New School in Stratford, which taught reading, writing and the classics.
In 1582, when he was 18 and she was 26, he married Anne Hathaway, who was born in 1556.
By 1592, there is evidence William Shakespeare earned a living as an actor and a playwright in London and possible had several plays produced.
William died in 1616, and Anne in 1623.

"Richard Hathaway, of Shottery, father of Anne Hathaway, in his will dated 1st September 1581, says 'And I desire my trustee friends and neighbours, Stephen Burman and Fowlke Sandells, to be my supervisors of this my last will and testamente, and these to have for theire paynes therein to be taken twelve pence apiece of them.' Witnesses, Sir Wm. Gilbard, Clark and Curate in Stratforde, Richarde Burman, John Richardson, and John Hemynge, with others." (ref R.H.Burman Monograph 1895)

Thomas may be the father of the children listed later to the other Thomas.

Thomas is probably the one referred to in the will of John Burman of Shottery who is his nephew.
THE WILL OF JOHN BURMAN
"Will of John Burman, Shottery, husbandman, dated 15 February, 1645. .... To Thomas Burman 20s. ." (ref The Burman Chronicle 1940).

No marriage is found for John in this timeframe.
Burial 15 Aug 1597 at Stratford on Avon of John, son of Thomas, in Ancestry Warwick records.
It is a puzzle as to why (1) he would have been so young when Rose was born, and (2) why would he have a child baptised at Tanworth and then be buried shortly after at Stratford on Avon. The liklihood is that this family is not correct but no further evidence has been found.

FROM WHOM FRED SHADE IS DESCENDED.

Marr Anne, surname unknown.

Burial 20 Apr 1613 at Stratford On Avon of "Tho. Burman de Shattery" (ref Ancestry Warwickshire England Extracted Parish Records).

There is a burial 18 Dec 1622 of "Anna, uxor [wife of] Thomae Burman de Shotteria" (ref Ancestry Warwickshire Extracted Parish Records). This does not quite match with the suggested death of Thomas in 1613 as it would be expected to have 'widow' rather than 'wife'.

This may be the correct Thomas for the following descent, or perhaps the Thomas before on the page, or an unknown one.
