Bysouth ~ Sixth Generation

		Issue of Joseph Besouth and Elisabethe Manne
1.		John SOUTH/ BYSOUTH Bap of Jhon 19 Oct 1637 at Reed, Hertford, England, son of Joseph South (ref findmypast image & IGI). Married (as John Bysouth) 2 May 1661 at Reed, Hertfordshire to Elizabeth ALLEN of Stapleford, Hertfordshire (ref Herts Marriage Index Online). Refer to his will (in the name of John Bysouth) for the name of his wife Elizabeth and his six children. Curiously, in his will in 1685, he refers frequently to his 'now wife' Elizabeth and asks her to bring up 'my children'; this suggests he married again to another Elizabeth. There are two possible marriages of John Bysouth as widower, on to Sarah Botterell of Widdiath, single woman, 7th August 1673, and the other to Alice Bedell of Braughyn, widow, on 18 Jan 1676. However neither of these are to an Elizabeth which seems to be implied in the Will. Death of John Byesouth "Junr" 17 Feb 1685/86 at Reed, buried 18 Feb 1685/86 at Reed (ref findmypast image). This implies another older John alive at the time, but he has not been identified. There is a burial in Reed of Elizabeth the wife of John South buried December 15 1728 which may be this one (ref parish rec & fmp).	IGI record John's Will
