There is a marriage of a Phillip Cornish on 26 Feb 1719[/20] to Honor PARNALL, no children found, may be this one or the two on previous generation (ref Cornwall OPC). 2.		John CORNISH Bap 28 Aug 1690 at Poughill, Cornwall, son of Phillipp & Jane (ref BTs in Cornwall OPC database; IGI and findmypast have no name). There are two John Cornishes of very similar ages in Poughill (1687, see previous generation, and 1690). One of them is presumed to have married Martha Martyn, the other Grace Elliott, and see the previous generation for the logic of assuming Martha Martyn here. Marr 6 Aug 1719 at Poughill to Martha MARTYN (ref Phillimores & BTs in Cornwall OPC Database & findmypast). Martha was bap 13 May 1695 at Poughill, dau of Deg & Thomasine (ref Cornwall OPC Database). There is a burial of Martha Cornish 18 Oct 1757 at Poughill (ref Cornwall OPC Database & findmypast and parish record on Family Search Record Collection for Poughill, page 116). For John, there are two probable burials, one on 8 Aug 1741 and one on 24 Sep 1745 but no further information is given on the burials (ref Cornwall OPC Database for both and the parish record for the second in Family Search Record Collection for Poughill, page 115). Thomas buried 5 Jan 1746 at Poughill (ref Cornwall OPC & findmypast). These dates might be old style. See possible confusion with Grace (below), dau of Alexander Cornish and Elizabeth Addams. Reasons for selecting this Grace to marry Thomas Dyer are mainly the names of the children including that of Jane (her mother). 1.		Grace CORNISH Bap 25 Jun 1709 at Poughill (ref Cornwall OPC Database; IGI & findmypast do not have the day). However another source quotes the Poughill Parish Register as "Grace CORNISH of Samuel CORNISH of Kilkhampton and Grace 15 January 1709 os" [old system, i.e. 1709/10, today 1710] (ref Eric Marshman). This would appear to be more accurate as it is very specific. Marr 22 May 1736 at Morwenstow, Cornwall to Lawrence ASHTON (ref Phillimores in Cornwall OPC, &FMP). Birth of Lawrence not found. There are multiple spellings for his christian name: Lawrence, Lawrance, Laurence, Larance. His surname is variously Ashton and Aishton and other versions. Burial of Lawrance Aishton 5 Feb 1764 at Bradworthy, Devon (Anglican); "Lawrance Aishton was Buried Febry the 5" (ref fmp Devon Burials). His death is referred to in the Devon Wills Index as Laurence Ashton, probate year 1764, place Sutcombe, Devon, (Episcopal) Principal Registry of (the Bishop of) Exeter (ref fmp). His Will is also referred to in Ancestry, but no original of the Will is given. Grace is mentioned with her married surname ASHTON in the Will of her father in 1765 : "To daughter Grace Ashton 1/-". Married 13 Jul 1738 at Poughill to William BOUNDY; her residence Kilkhampton (ref Phillimores in Cornwall OPC). William Boundie was bap 28 Dec 1713 at Kilkhampton, son of Richard and Dorcos Boundie (ref IGI & COPC). Elizabeth's burial was most likely that of Elizabeth Bounday at Bradworthy, Devon on 7 Jun 1763 (ref fmp Devon Burials). William Boundy is mentioned in the Will of his father-in-law in 1765 so presumably Elizabeth had died by then. A partial transcription of the Will is as follows: To son-in-law William Boundy 1/-. Burial of William Jul 1792 at Kilkhampton Parish Church, age 78 ( ref Cornwall Memorial Inscriptions in fmp). 3.		Dorcas CORNISH Bap of Dorcas Cornish 27 May 1716 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall, dau of Samuell & Grace (Dorcas in Cornwall OPC, IGI & findmypast). In the Bishop's Transcripts the spelling of Dorcos is indistinct. There was only one Dorcas Cornish born in Kilkhampton area around that time. (Possibly) Married 5 Dec 1746 at Kilkhampton (as Dorcas) to John ELLIOT (ref Cornwall OPC, IGI & findmypast). Phillimore in Cornwall OPC says John Elliot of Hartland. There is a burial of John Elliott on 29 Jan 1759 at Marhamchurch, Cornwall, note "Sexton" in Furze Transcripts, C OPC). (Definitely) Marr 5 Feb 1763 at Kilkhampton of Dorcas Cornish to John BURNARD; both were of this parish (ref Cornwall OPC & IGI). John's birth not found as it was a common name and there were at least two bap in Kilkhampton, in 1722 and 1729. Dorcas is mentioned with her married surname of Burnard in the Will of her father in 1765. A partial transcription of the Will is as follows: "Residue to daughter Dorcas Burnard, and [she] to be Executrix." Burial of Dorcas Burnard 22 Oct 1785 at Kilkhampton, "wife of Jon" (ref C OPC). 4.		Samuel CORNISH Bap 21 Oct 1720 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall as Samuell, son of Sam. & Grace (ref Cornwall OPC & IGI & findmypast). Buried 27 Aug 1759 at Kilkhampton (ref findmypast). Ref Kilkhampton Bishop's Transcript: Buried 1759, Samuel Cornish the Younger, Husbandman, Aug 14th (different date from above). However, LDS tape 476219 (monumental inscriptions at Kilkhampton) has CORNISH, Grace, w of Samuel Cornish of Stibb. Burd. Jun 21, 1760 age 79; and also Samuel, s. of above Samuel and Grace, burd. August 27, 1759 age 39. It depends whether the Bishop's transcript or the monumental inscription or copy of it is more accurate. Another version in Cornwall OPC has 10 Aug 1759, so there is some confusion.	IGI records
5.		Daniel CORNISH Born c1723. No baptism record found. The following marriages are assumptions. Marr (1) 17 Nov 1743 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall of Daniel Cornish, H[usbandman] to Anne CHUKE (ref Phillimores in Cornwall OPC). At the baptism of Grace in 1746, Daniel's residence is Morwinstow (ref Cornwall OPC). Anne's death not found. Marr (2) 25 Jun 1758 at Holsworthy, Devon of Daniel Cornish to Mary CLEAVE (ref FamilySearch M05113-1, identification of Daniel according to Sheila Yeo 2011). Daniel is mentioned in the Will of his father in 1765. A partial transcription of the Will is as follows: "To son Daniel Cornish the Hanging Press, the Chest in the Broad Chamber and the Bedsteads in the same, the clock, Dresser, Long Table Board, Moonstone trough in the cellar, Chest in the Barn and all Plough Tackle." 6.		Phillip CORNISH Phillip's occupation was Labourer, Husbandman, and Yeoman (ref various records). The spelling varied between Philip and Phillip. Bap 5 Mar 1724/25 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall. IGI and findmypast have 5 Mar 1725. The extracted parish records on Ancestry and Cornwall OPC have 5 Mar 1724. Married 18 Jul 1750 at Kilkhampton to Mary ADAMS (ref IGI & findmypast); he was a Labourer (ref Phillimore in Cornwall OPC). Bap of Mary Adams 4 Jun 1729 at Kilkhampton, dau of John & Elizabeth (ref C OPC; she is given as Addams in C OPC BTs). Her parents were John Adams and Elizabeth Bray and they were married 23 Feb 1722 at Kilkhampton (ref C OPC). According to FamilySearch, this John Adams (1694-1729) was son of Hugh Adams (1660-1697), he being son of John Adams (1609-1681), he being son of Thomasin Vine (b 1574), she being a daughter of Richard Vine (1546-1621) and Alice Woodman (1550-1624). Another daughter of this couple, Jane Vine (1579-1651), had Margaret Cleverdon (1600-1636); she had Eliza Atkins (b1625); she had Elisabeth Atkins (b1651); she had Mary Barnet (1675-1734); she had Anne Newland (1712-1753); she had Mary Garrett (1737-1806); she had Frances Webb; she had Anne Caroline Salisbury (1805-1881); she had Caroline Louisa Burnaby (1832-1918); she had Cecilia Nina Cavendish-Bentinck; she had Elizabeth Angela Bowes-Lyon (1900-2002); she had Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). I have not verified this chain of events. Philip is mentioned in the Will of his father in 1765. A partial transcription of the Will is as follows: "To son Philip Cornish Moonstone trough in the Brew House, Hand Malt Mill and 1/- [one shilling]." There are 3 possible burials for Phillip at Kilkhampton (ref Cornwall OPC): 7 Mar 1790; 20 Mar 1795; 18 Mar 1797.
