Fanny was an executor of her brother Charles' estate when he died in 1843 at the age of 29. The other executors were his friends Thomas Edwards of Soho Square in the County of Middlesex, Draper, and Charles Edwards of Number 17, Piccadilly in the same County, Draper. About one o'clock he left to go to Newhaven for a barge load of beach; and on reaching North Street, a short distance from his home, he dropped down and died instantly. One was buried at Framfield in 1831 age 24 (making him born 1806-07). The other moved to Kent married Sarah Oliver in 1840. There is no information about his father on the marriage certificate. His occupation was Bootmaker. His death in Jan 1883 at 77 gives his birth from Jan 1805-Jan 1806. It would be strange for the eldest son of a farmer not to be a farmer in the same area. Interment of the remains of the late Mr. Henry Hemsley, of the Gun Inn, Blackboys, took place in the Parish Churchyard on Thursday, when many evidences of respect and sympathy were forthcoming from the large number of friends and acquaintances that assembled to witness the last sad rites. The deceased, who would have attained his 90th birthday next March, had led a quiet, useful life, and it addition to being the oldest resident in Blackboys was probably the oldest license holder in Sussex, having taken out 58 licenses [yearly] for the Gun Inn. He was laid to rest in the same grave as his wife, who died five years ago at the age of 77. . The coffin, which was of plain elm, with black studs and fittings, bore the inscription: "Henry Hemsley, died January 10th, 1914, aged 89 years" ..
