It is most likely that Thomas's youngest son James was later known as Jesse; there is no subsequent information about James, and no baptism information about Jesse other than his birth date which is at the time that James's birth happened.

In October 1783, Thomas, Elizabeth and their son Robert came before the courts on the following charge:
"Indt. now No. 7, for stealing one Iron ScytheValue 5/-, one Reed Bee pot also Beehive containing 20 (?) of honey Val. 5/- the property of one Thomas Loader". (As near as can be seen.)
Thomas was found guilty, Elizabeth and Robert not guilty. Thomas was Indicted for Felony, and ordered to be imprisoned in the House of Correction in this County for Twenty Eight days and then to be discharged. Thomas Loader received compensation for his charges and expenses. (ref Ancestry, Dorset, Quarter Sessions Order Boks, 1625-1905).

Note that there is a baptism entry in Ancestry England & Wales Christening Index for Daniel Dimont on the same date, 27 Jun 1762 at Corscombe. This entry is not in the online image and is not found in FamilySearch so I assume it is an error for "David".

The following marriage appears most likely to refer to this David Dimont/Diment due to the date of the marriage (at age 25) and the span of the children to be fitted into his wife's child-bearing age. No other David has been found born in Dorset of a similar age. Corscombe and West Chelborough are 5 miles apart by road.

Marr 2 Sep 1792 at West Chelborough, Dorset of David Diment to Elizabeth (Betty) PATTEN (ref Ancestry England and Wales Marriages as Betty). Most probable baptism of Betty Patten 7 Feb 1773 at Halstock, Dorset, born 28 Jan 1773, dau of Thomas & Jane Patten (ref Ancestry Dorset CofE Baps Marriages & Burials image; Halstock is 4 miles from Corscombe).

On 17 Dec 1822 David came before the Courts on the charge of "Cutting a Maiden Oak Tree". Name: David Diment. Age: 58. Residence: Corscombe. Lab. Married, 7 children. Charge put forward by Sir Wm Oglander Bart. His personal description was as follows: Stature 5.6., hair dark brown, eyes dark hazel, complexion rather florid. A cut over the left eyebrow, a cut fore finger left hand, and cut fore finger right hand. The punishment was Hard Labor for 3 calendar months. He was orderly in prison and was discharged 14 Apr 1823. There is a curious document in Ancestry dated 4 Feb 1793 called a Removal Order directed at the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Parish of Corscombe in respect of John Dimont, Jane his wife and Elizabeth their daughter, that they "a good half a year have lately intruded themselves into your said parish of Corscombe" and that they should forthwith be removed from Corscombe and conveyed to East Coker, Somerset as being their last legal place of settlement (ref Ancestry Dorset Poor Law Settlement and Removal Records).
Presumably they returned to Corscombe by 1798; no baptisms found between in Dorset or Somerset.
