The Banns for the marriage were originally published in Kilkhampton on 6, 13 and 20th Oct 1754 between John Pollard otp and Jane Ashton otp; this was followed by a Memorandum on 23 Nov 1754 as follows: "Memorandum 23rd November 1754 As I was misinformed in regard to the Place of Abode of Jane Ashton when the foregoing Banns were Published and am now well Assured, that both the Parties therein Named, have observed the directions of the late Act of Parliament, for the better Preventing of Clan... Marriages, I esteem it my Duty to Publish ... these following Viz: The Banns of Marriage between John Pollard and Jane Ashton, both of this Parish were duly Published in theis Church, for the First time, on Sunday the TwentyFourth day of November, for the Second Time on Sunday the First, and for the Third Time on Sunday the Eighth day of December, in the year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Four, William Harling, Rector" (ref Cornwall OPC, Banns).

Banns of marriage to William OSBORNE at Kilkhampton on 10, 17, 24 May 1761; both were of this parish (otp); Mary's name was spelt GRIG (ref C OPC from BTs).
Marriage 28 May 1761 at Kilkhampton of Mary Grigg to William Osborne (ref C OPC from Phillimore). Another marriage record has Mary GRIG, by Banns, and witnesses William Squeare and Thomas Osborne (ref C OPC).

Bap 10 Nov 1745 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall, Charles, son of William & Anne Grig [sic]; Cordwainer (ref Cornwall OPC). A similar record has Labourer.

Marr 30 Sep 1771 at Hartland, Devon to Elizabeth CORNISH (ref IGI). She was dau of Phillip Cornish and Mary Adams, and was bap 20 Jan 1750/51 at Kilkhampton, Cornwall, dau of Philip & Mary, occupation labourer (ref Cornwall OPC & IGI & findmypast).

Charles died 21 Feb 1807 and Elizabeth died 22 May 1836; this information comes from the joint headstone in the graveyard of St James the Great Church, Kilkhampton. This date for Charles is given in findmypast. The date of 24 Feb 1807 at Kilkhampton is given by the Online Parish Clerk for the burial.
Elizabeth buried 25 May 1836 at Kilkhampton aged 85 (ref findmypast and Online Parish Clerk).
