It appears from the Apprenticeship Records in findmypast (from the Society of Genealogists) that William Hurd was apprenticed in 1712 to his Master, William Wingerton, Frameworkknitter of Wigston Magna, Leicestershire; the premium paid was one pound 10 shillings; William was from Countesthorpe, son of William Hurd, Labourer. Normally apprenticeships were for 7 years and started at an earlier age, and would normally not be married during that time, so perhaps this is the end of the apprenticeship.

There is a possible marriage for William in 1716 which is not proved because it seems early for Elizabeth to have a daughter Elizabeth requiring guardians, and it has not been possible to find a relation of Elizabeth called Robert Brewin of Hathern (see her Will).
Marriage 26 Apr 1716 at Wigston Magna, Leicestershire of William Hurd to Elizabeth JACKSON (ref FamilySearch, Engish Marriages index).

It has not been possible to identify nephew Robert Bruin or Brewin of Hathern in connection with Elizabeth. It appears that her nephew William Hurd moved from Countesthorpe to Wigston Magna between 1762 and 1766 so he may have inherited the property immediately on the widow Elizabeth's death.
